If you have any questions about University itself, Biomedical Science as a course or the Biomedical Science Society make sure you come along.

I am passionate about helping you guys out so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
This year I want to expand how our society helps you through your studies, so we are working hard to create you an area full of revision materials and also to organise study workshops!
I hope you have a good year and hope to see you around at some of our events!

Hello all! I'm Tanya, and I'll be your Academic Officer for the year. My job is to make sure that you, as a student, are able to get the absolute best out of the academic side of uni life. This is a shiny new role for the society, so We'll be experimenting with setting up revision sessions and pub quizzes! I look forward to supporting you all with your studies, Good Luck x
Hi I’m Weilin and I’m your charities officer this year. I’ll be responsible for organising all the charity events throughout the year, to raise as much money as possible as a society. This year I’m hoping to bring some new ideas to the charity event calendar! Expect charity open mics, student VS lecturer sport matches and exclusive film screening, alongside our long running events such as skydiving, the spider walk and charity raffles. I look forward to seeing how much money we can raise as a society and I aiming to become one of the top five fund-raisers in the university this year, so make sure to keep an eye for any charity events!
Hi, I’m Laura and I’m so excited to be your Volunteering Officer for 2016/17. I’m in charge of organising all the fantastic volunteering events we run throughout the year such as an extremely popular after school science club which encourages local children to engage with science. We’re always on the lookout for new ways for us to make a difference in the local community so let me know if you have any ideas! Make sure you become a BMS Soc member for regular updates on opportunities to volunteer and get involved.
Female Sport Secretary:

From intramural leagues to socials myself and Tom are your first port of call if you want to get out the lab, meet some great people and become part of some amazing teams. Currently our teams our women’s netball, mixed hockey and men’s and women’s football, don’t worry if you have never played before, all abilities are welcome, just bring your A-game! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in contact with one of us, see you at Goodwin!!
Male Sport Secretary:
The university provides great opportunities for societies such as ourselves to play sports fixtures competitively in organised leagues. As a society we currently have teams participating in football, hockey and netball. I organise this, ensuring all teams are fully equipped for an enjoyable and successful season. Representing the BMS sports teams provides a great opportunity to meet a whole host of fellow BMS students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. We will organise trials for all the sports teams in the first few weeks of semester 1. Me and Sophie will work hard to plan and arrange socials for all the sides, providing further opportunity to get to know your fellow team mates. More information regarding trials etc will be posted nearer the time on the BMSSoc facebook page so make sure you like the page to stay updated and I hope to see you all wearing the famous orange and black soon!
Hey guys, we're Elly and Laura and we're your events secs. We'll be organising this year's biggest events, such as the BMS ball and the trip abroad! We're really excited to get planning and organise the best events possible. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to message us!
